Using Garland For Wrapping Gifts

The Best Christmas Decoration for Your Home

When we think of garland, we often think of this being draped along a mantle or wound around a banister. Granted, there are many people who are using garland to decorate their bed frames, tables, tv stands, and much more. However, there are some unique ways that you can use garland when wrapping gifts that are going to be great for those who want their wrapped gifts to be extensions of their Christmas decor. Many people wrap their gifts and put these under the tree as soon as they can to help really bring the Christmas spirit to life. It is a simple enough way to make your room feel like it has more Christmas decor, and those who open these gifts will be amazed at the way these gifts are wrapped. So, just how can you use artificial Christmas garland when it comes to wrapping gifts this year? Here are some ideas to keep in mind!

A Wide Range of Artificial Wreaths and Garlands to Choose From

1. Use garland as a sort of ribbon that you wrap horizontally and vertically around the box that you’re wrapping. Secure this, then use a premade bow on the top or even make one out of ribbon that is going to match your tree theme.

2. Use a small piece of garland around a large bow and let these stick out. In essence, you are creating a focal point that you would be proud to put onto a centerpiece at your kitchen table for the box, so go all out with any other decor items you want to put with the garland.

3. If you have gift baskets, then be sure to use the garland throughout the gift basket as well. This can look even better than trying to warp the basket with paper, as we all know that often leads to a lot of tape and some ugly creases to get the basket wrapped.

4. For those large items that are too hard to wrap, such as if you are giving a bicycle to a child, taking garland, wrapping this around the handlebars and adorning with bows is a great way to effectively somewhat wrap this without killing your patience trying to wrap this with paper.

5. Really, you can add garland to about any type of bow that may be used for a present. You will find that it is an easy way to add a little flare!

Since you are going to be cutting up the garland or using this in a way that it may not be able to be used again, you will want to get a cheap string of garland to use for this purpose. Or you may find that after upgrading the garland you use in other areas of your home your old garland can be put to use for presents rather than just thrown it out. Either way, you will find that this can be a great use for garland and also make you look as though you apprenticed with Santa when it comes to wrapping gifts to make them appear magical!
